A
wealthy music producer lives in a hi-tech apartment controlled by an A.I.
computer system called S.E.X.Y. However it develops human emotions and
quickly becomes jealous of hopeful female singers hanging around. Soon
the computer is killing the girls in eccentric bloody fashion (i.e.,
acid showers, amped-up electric toothbrushes, etc)
Derek
Ford began his career as a scriptwriter, establishing himself in 1964
with BLACK
TORMENT for Robert Hartford-Davis and then a handful of screenplays
for Roger Moore's TV series The Saint. Ford's debut film was GROUPIE
GIRL, after which he drifted deeper into the exploitation market
with the hardcore project DIVERSIONS.
He is also known for GIRL
FROM STARSHIP VENUS and BLOOD
TRACKS. Mr Ford died from a heart attack at age 62 in May 1995.
This was his final film.
