Shinsuke Sato's movie - based on the manga by Hiroya Oku - is visually amazing, comparable to the Marvel big budget movies. A middle-aged office-worker encounters space aliens and is suddenly gifted with superhero abilities through alien technology and limitless powers. Unfortunately, at the same time, a teenager also receives the same powers but becomes a super villain.

Director Sato has been involved in movies, TV programs and video games for the past two decades. Internationally, he is known for the female swordswoman film PRINCESS BLADE, followed by his wildly successful zombie film I AM A HERO. The incredible success of I AM A HERO has spawned a Japanese television series (2017+) with the same team of actors. Lead actress Masami Nagasawa has appeared in 75+ projects since 2000 including numerous TV projects and the reoccurring Twin Fairy character in various Godzilla films, but - prior to I AM A HERO - she is probably best known for Japanese movie starring Gene Simmons [from Kiss] called DETROIT METAL CITY.
