original Singapore title: ZHONG GUI [Twisted Love]
also known as TWISTED
director: Yee Wei

starring: Mark Lee · MiMi Zhu · Randall Tan · Linda Liao · Calvin Soo
· Josh Lai · Candy Ice
Despite
the strict censorship policies of the Singapore government, some courageous
filmmakers continue to push the envelope in the name of cinematic freedom.
One such director is Yee Wei Chai. He originally opened this movie in
[the more liberal] Taiwan where good reviews and film festival support
paved the way for a Singapore premiere. Despite the overt sexuality
and graphic violence, the film has managed to slip between the cracks
by imposing a rigid 18+ enforcement policy. It has run into some police
trouble in the conservative communities but - for the most part - the
Singapore government has taken a cautious 'hands-off' approach.
The
film is an omnibus, comprised of three stories, tied together by the
escapades of an arrogant drug dealer named Tan Sze Guan (played by Mark
Lee). In the first segment he kills girlfriend Mimi (Candy Ice) in a
car accident but then the misfortunate turns into a deadly fight with
the undead. The middle sequence features two horny male flight attendants
(who buy party drugs from Tan Sze Guan) to entertain their pretty colleagues
in a wild orgy that turns ugly. And in the final segment, two con men
decide to 'pull one more job' before going straight. They take on the
task of exorcising a demon from a possessed girl.
