A
group of teenagers decide to take an overnight thrill-seeking adventure
to a remote island notorious for a bloody "Devouring Ghost"
feast celebration which resulted in many deaths, years back, on Friday
the 13th. When the boys play a cruel prank on a classmate (locking him
inside an old haunted crypt), sinister events begin to surface, turning
the weekend of fun into a weekend of death.
Seemingly, director Taweewat Wantha is more willing to 'push the envelope'
in his motion pictures. For many years, Thai cinema had a more conservative
approach to horror - usually avoiding nudity, sexual gyrations, extreme
gore, and the like - but as Mr Wantha demonstrated in his previous film
SARS
WARS: BANGKOK ZOMBIE CRISIS, the cultural taboos are meaningless
today.
